Benefit Privacy Policy

This Policy describes how Benefit ("we", operator of the Service) collects, uses, and protects the personal data of users of the Benefit mobile app and the bnft.asia website (the "Service"). Benefit is a B2B platform for the light industry, connecting buyers with textile manufacturers.

1. Data we collect

  • Account: email, password (stored only as a cryptographic hash), role (buyer/supplier).
  • Profile and company: for suppliers — company data (name, description, contacts, categories, production terms, media: logo, cover, photos, certificates, video links); for buyers — profile data (name, contacts, field of activity).
  • Content you create: requests to suppliers, tenders, offers, posts, and attached files.
  • Technical data: push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging), basic usage metrics (e.g. number of profile card views), as well as IP address and server logs — for security and abuse prevention.
  • Payments: subscription checkout is processed by the Finik Pay payment provider. We do not store bank card data.

2. How we use data

Providing and operating the Service (catalog, tenders, exhibitions), delivering notifications (push and email), moderating companies and content, subscription billing, ensuring security, and legal compliance.

3. Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:

  • Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging) — to deliver push notifications to your device;
  • Finik Pay — to process subscription payments;
  • infrastructure providers (hosting, email), acting on our behalf;
  • when required by law or to protect our rights.

4. Storage and security

Data is stored on our servers. Transmission is protected via HTTPS; passwords are stored as a hash (Argon2); sensitive files (request attachments, verification documents) are kept in protected storage accessed via short-lived signed links.

5. Retention period

We retain data while your account is active and delete it after a deletion request (see the "Account Deletion" section). Certain data we are legally required to keep (e.g. payment records) is retained for the statutory period, after which it is deleted.

6. Your rights

7. Children

The Service is intended for business users and is not directed at individuals under 18.

8. Changes

We may update this Policy; the current version is always available on this page with its effective date.
